Affordable Bus Tour to interesting Middle and East European Cities

Dear Friends,

Some of the attendants have asked if it is possible to arrange an affordable trip to some cities where they probably never have a chance to visit.

As I have already indicated in my birthday invitation our granddaughter Elena and I have selected some European highlights. We have selected medium class but good hotels in Vienna, Prague, Dresden and Berlin. For 2 persons the overnight stay including breakfast costs somewhere between 80 to 90 Euros. For the food another 20 Euros per day have to be calculated.

Elena is almost 19 years old. She has passed an excellent high school examination this May and speaks perfectly English, of course German, some French and reasonably good Spanish. She has studied the highlights of the different cities and will be your tour guide.

The trip starts the next day after the main birthday celebration.

Friday, 12 September 2014, 09:30 a.m.:

We are going to visit the city of Salzburg in Austria. There the old town and the main castle which is overlooking the city will be visited within 3 hours.

After that the journey continues to Vienna, the capital of Austria, where the arrival will be around 06:00 p.m. A simple dinner in the old town of Vienna will end this day of sightseeing in Salzburg and travelling.

Saturday, 13 September:

As most of the participants are not that young anymore we decided to use the Hop-On/Hop-Off-System. This means that a sightseeing bus drives through the town, stops at the most interesting places, everybody can go out. Elena will show the most exciting sights. Then the group takes another bus to further sights. By this method without walking too long distances it is possible to see the most interesting places in Vienna, for example the Hofburg, headquarter of the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy, the famous Burgtheater and the Town Hall, the famous gothic Stephansdom cathedral, as well as the impressive castle of the Austrian emperors Schoenbrunn and the castle of Belvedere. In the evening we will visit one of the small villages around Vienna and enjoy the seasonal Austrian wine.

Sunday, 14 September:

The morning is free if anybody wants to have a closer look at something. At noon we depart to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. In the evening there is a dinner cruise on the Moldau River.

Monday, 15 September:

By Hop-On/Hop-Off the old city of Prague, also the old castle and the beautiful St. Veits cathedral can be easily seen without walking long distances.
In the afternoon there is a 2 ½ hours ride to Dresden, which is already in Germany and which is one of the most important cultural cities, located in East Germany. It is comparable to Munich. You have an evening dinner in the old town.

Tuesday, 16 September:

You go by Hop-On/Hop-Off to all the castles and cultural beauties of this famous town.

Wednesday, 17 September, afternoon:

The bus continues to the capital of Germany, Berlin. In the late afternoon we arrive in Berlin. It is only 2 hours from Dresden. You spend 2 days in Berlin with a river cruise on the River Spree plus visiting of all major attractions which Berlin offers.

Friday, 19 September:

Part of our group is leaving back to India from Berlin. The bus will return to Munich via Nuremberg. Arrival in Munich in the evening.

I can assure you that Elena and I will do all what is possible to make this trip memorable. It might very well be that I will join you Dresden and come with you to Berlin and go back by bus to Munich.

In case you are interested in that trip please let us know a.s.a.p. so we can make the hotel reservations.

We hope to see you on this interesting journey and remain

Elena and Peter Vizenetz
